NKSA Mustangs - Stepping Up To The Challenge

Congratulations again to the U11 Girls NKSA Mustangs - this team, coached by Joe Kim, went down to the Derby Cup tournament this past weekend and made it to the finals, losing the championship on penalty kicks 1-0. The Mustangs went 2-1-1 over the weekend, scoring 10 goals while only giving up 6.

What made this weekend all the more remarkable is that our U11 team accomplished this in the U12 Upper Division, competing against the best U12 teams in the tournament!

We're very proud of the effort put forth by these girls - no matter the result of the final game, you played like champions!

Fall 2009 Minimum Coaching Standards

http://www.kysoccer.com/coaches/education/Minimum.Coaching.Standards.pdf

Just a reminder - beginning this fall, Kentucky Youth Soccer is implementing minimum coaching standards for select and recreational coaches.

Head coaches will need a "E" license if they're on a U12 or below team.

Head coaches will need a "D" license and assistant coaches will need an "E" if they're on a U13 or above team.

D & E courses are being held this summer in Louisville, Richmond and at Town & Country. Sign up now so you can still coach this fall. http://www.kysoccer.com/coaches/education/coaches.ed.calendar.html
